Westminster College administration announced Wednesday classes will continue online through Canvas until the end of May Term, June 5. The school sent out an email update, noting there is still uncertainty around how this will work.
“We anticipate returning to in-person instruction for Summer session,” the administration said in an email. “More detailed information will be sent in the coming days as deans and faculty develop plans.”
This comes one day after the school announced commencement will be postponed until an in-person celebration can be held.
Refunds for classes will not be reimbursed to students because courses are still being offered, administration confirmed to The Forum Wednesday.
All campus visits and events for the Spring semester have been cancelled.
Students who live on campus are welcome to do so until the end of May Term. Students who wish to do must complete a form by March 30 at noon.
“We know that some students who have not returned to campus may want to come back despite limited services,” the school said on its website. “And other students want to remain off campus and work remotely for the rest of the semester.”
The school acknowledges the initial changes were meant to be temporary, but say they will work with students who wish to remain on campus.
